APMA Announces election of Kim Thiara to Board of Directors

Toronto – April 21, 2020

The Automotive Parts Manufacturers’ Association announced today that Kim Thiara, President and CEO of AceTronic Industrial Controls Inc and the Chair for the Toronto Chapter of CAMM (Canadian Association of Mold Makers) has joined its Board of Directors for the upcoming year. Her election to the Board in April signals the continued strength of Canadian mold makers in the global automotive sector.

Since its establishment in 1983, AceTronic Industrial Controls Inc. has provided advanced solutions for the plastics processing sector, based upon its in-house technical knowledge and wide product base. Kim Thiara has been instrumental in positioning AceTronic as a leader in the plastics market. She has spent the last 25 years establishing a name for herself as the best source for Repair,  Calibration  & Plastic Processing Products, culminating in the 2008 purchase of AceTronic, a company founded by her father, Harb Mushiana.

APMA is Canada’s national association representing OEM producers of parts, equipment, tools, supplies, advanced technology, and services for the worldwide automotive industry. The Association was founded in 1952 and its members account for 90% of independent parts production in Canada. In 2018, automotive parts shipments were over $35 Billion and the industry employment level was over 100,000 people.
